The structure was originally built in 1925 for The Fore Shoe Company by Lohmeyer and Schulte Builders. After falling into a dormant state, Baron Design & Associates designed the renovation and was instrumental in the building being placed on the Historical Register. MacArthur Park, as it is known today, is a complete conversion and rehabilitation of the old shoe factory into affordable housing units specifically designed for seniors. MacArthur Park is perfectly located in the heart of desirable amenities: medical, shopping, theaters and even the Community Senior Center.
